HUNTING
Otter Creek Farmstead in Northeast Alabama is the ultimate luxury quail hunting destination in the southeast.
Otter Creek is the dream achieved and vision of native Alabamians, Frank and Jane Brown. This luxury quail hunting lodge was built in 2013 and has grown into one of the finest wingshooting lodges in the United States with exceptional dog work and covey rises that will please even the most discerning shooter.
Living up to our feature in Garden & Gun Magazine’s 2016 Best of the Sporting South, 25 Trips of a Lifetime for the Traveling Sportsman, we host upland hunters from all over the United States and several foreign countries. The luxurious accommodations, outstanding service, unrivaled culinary experience, and elegant yet rustic atmosphere of our lodge set us apart from the rest. Otter Creek is the perfect destination for your next corporate outing or relaxing getaway among friends.
The property offers an exceptional experience for those interested in hunting in Alabama, with consistent covey rises from rolling fields of native grasses, creek bottoms, and open woods. Our hunting Alabama experience is enhanced by the skilled field-bred English Cockers from our award-winning Otter Creek Kennels, adding a whole new dynamic to quail hunting Alabama. The elegant dog work is often the highlight of the day for our guests. Non-hunting guests can also enjoy a variety of activities, such as fishing, cooking classes, wine and cheese tastings, or a relaxing massage, all available based on availability. Whether you're here for the thrill of the hunt or to enjoy the serene environment, our property provides a memorable experience that stands out in Alabama outdoor hunting.
We are conveniently located near I-20 between Atlanta and Birmingham with a 6,000’+ runway for private jets just minutes from the property. All hunters are required to use 20-gauge or smaller break-action shotguns. Please no semi-automatic or pumps and no 16- or 12-gauge. We have loaner shotguns that are complimentary if a guest does not bring their own. 20- and 28-ga shotgun shells are provided, but we do not provide .410 shells.
Our accommodations have 12 private guest rooms, each with private bath. We can host groups of up to 12 hunters single-occupancy. We accommodate smaller hunt groups based on availability.

Otter Creek Farmstead requires a 50% deposit at the time of reservation and the 50% balance 60 days in advance of your arrival. Otter Creek will provide you with the most current information about which dates are available. However, due to the demand, we cannot “hold” dates for you without a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. Most of our clients re-book the same time from year to year and our open dates generate interest from several parties for each available opportunity. Until a 50% (fifty percent) deposit is received by Otter Creek, the dates that you desire to schedule for your trip will still be available for others to book. Your 50% deposit is non-refundable. Deposits cannot be used for alternative dates. The final balance is due 60 (sixty) days in advance of the date of your trip. If the balance is not paid by that date we have the right to release your dates and attempt to resell them to minimize the loss to Otter Creek.
