Weddings at Otter Creek 

Throughout the seasons, the landscape offers a backdrop of rustic elegance and captivating scenery, creating a memorable experience not only for the couple but for every guest who gathers to celebrate. From rehearsal dinners and bridesmaids’ luncheons to ceremonies beneath the open sky and lively receptions that stretch into the evening, Otter Creek was designed for wedding weekends meant to be savored.

Conveniently located between Gadsden and Anniston, Alabama — just under an hour from Birmingham — the property offers the charm of a countryside escape while remaining easily accessible for guests traveling from near and far.

To ensure each couple enjoys a truly personalized experience, Otter Creek hosts a limited number of weddings each season, offering celebrations exclusively April through October, when the property is at its most beautiful. With only three weddings hosted each month, every event receives the time, attention, and care it deserves.

Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and many couples choose to secure their date well in advance.

The Otter Creek Wedding Package:

Venue Pricing

Two-day weekend venue pricing for Friday/Saturday weddings: $12,500

One-day Sunday wedding: $6,000

Guidelines:

• Event insurance policy provided by the client to Otter Creek Farmstead

• Security provided by Otter Creek Farmstead with every wedding.

• Our damage deposit is $750 (check or credit card on file). Otter Creek will not cash the check and will return it after the walk thru following clean-up.

• No outside alcohol or catering are allowed; all alcohol and catering are provided by Otter Creek Farmstead.

Wedding Spaces & Amenities

At Otter Creek, each wedding weekend unfolds across a collection of thoughtfully designed spaces that feel both elegant and relaxed — refined enough for a black-tie celebration, yet rooted in the natural beauty of the countryside.

Couples and their guests have access to The Grand Room and its furnished outdoor patio, the Pavilion, the Game Room, the Cook House, the ceremony lawn, poolside deck, and recreational areas including the horseshoe and bocce courts. Together, these spaces allow for a seamless flow throughout the weekend, whether you are hosting a rehearsal dinner, bridesmaids’ brunch, ceremony, reception, or a farewell gathering with family and friends.

For overnight accommodations, The Hill Cottage and Stables may be rented for an additional fee for the bridal party or out-of-town guests. On cooler evenings, firepits may also be enjoyed for an additional fee when temperatures fall below 60 degrees.

Bridal & Groom Gathering Spaces

The Hill Cottage serves as the primary getting-ready space for the bride and bridesmaids, offering a comfortable and private setting for the wedding day. The bridal suite in The Grand Room is reserved for final touches before the ceremony and is located just steps from the walkway leading to the ceremony lawn.

Groomsmen have access to the Game Room, a relaxed gathering space for the day that offers a comfortable place to spend time before the ceremony.

Wedding Weekend Access

Friday & Saturday Weddings
Access to the property begins at 11:00 AM on Friday for setup, decorating, and rehearsal dinner preparations.
Event hours conclude each evening at 11:00 PM.
Overnight accommodations are permitted on Saturday evening for reserved lodging spaces.

Sunday Weddings
Access to the property begins at 12:00 PM on Sunday.

Wedding Planning

To ensure a smooth and well-orchestrated wedding day, Otter Creek requires each couple to work with a wedding planner, and that planner must be approved by our team.

We love working with Rebecca Williamson of Details by Rebecca, who knows the property beautifully and is a wonderful planning resource for our couples. That said, other wedding planners are absolutely welcome, provided they are approved by Otter Creek in advance.

Our team is always happy to coordinate with your approved planner to help ensure a seamless experience from arrival to departure.

Parking & Guest Arrival

A parking attendant and shuttle service to the parking area are included for the day of the wedding to ensure guest arrival and departure are handled with ease.

For celebrations with more than 200 guests, additional shuttle services may be required.

Setup & Departure

Setup and breakdown of any outside rentals — including tables, chairs, china, glassware, linens, and décor — are the responsibility of the renter and/or the wedding planner.

All rental items must be removed the day of the event, and cleanup must be completed by the designated checkout time.

Photography at Otter Creek

Otter Creek’s wedding offerings include use of the grounds for engagement portraits and wedding day photography, allowing couples to take full advantage of the property’s natural landscapes, architecture, and gathering spaces.

Tables, Seating & Layout Options

Farm Tables
The Grand Room includes the use of twelve 6-foot farm tables, four 12-foot reclaimed wood farm tables, and two 8-foot reclaimed wood farm tables. These may be arranged together for longer, communal-style seating.

For couples who prefer round tables in The Grand Room, a fee applies for the removal of the standard farm tables. Otter Creek can provide several floor plan options to help guide your layout.

Oak Cross-Back Chairs
Use of 200 oak cross-back chairs in The Grand Room is included.

Outdoor Tables
Ten 60-inch round tables are available for outdoor use.

Audio & Visual

Use of Otter Creek’s audio-visual system is included for background music in The Grand Room.
Please note that this system is not intended for ceremony use.

• Alcohol – Otter Creek has an alcohol license and no outside alcohol is allowed

• Additional Shuttles may be required depending on final guest count

• Firepits for evenings under 60 degrees

• Lodging for Bridal Party or out of town guests for up to 12 (double occupancy) for Friday/Saturday.

• Lodging for the Groom’s Party or out of town guests and Complimentary Breakfast at the Stables up to 14 (double occupancy).
